Youth Winter League

Seven games, played on Saturdays from December 5, 2026 to February 6, 2027. We take a break for Christmas and New Year's.

What is this?

A friendly soccer league for kids. Teams play one game each week. Every team plays all seven games, and the team with the most points at the end wins. There are no playoffs.

How do points work?

  • Win a game: 3 points

  • Tie a game (both teams score the same): 1 point

  • Lose a game: 0 points

Who can play?

  • Boys and girls from ages 5 to 12 (see "Age groups" below)

  • Kids who play for a recreation league and kids who play for a club team. Everyone is welcome.

Age groups

"U" stands for "under." U6 means players under 6 years old, U8 means under 8, and so on.

How do I sign up?

Every player signs up on their own. It's simple:

  • Create an account on CourtReserve. For yourself and your child.

  • Hover over programs. Then select Categories.

  • Press Soccer Programs.

  • Sign up your player. Each player registers individually.

  • Want to play with friends? Pick one person on your team to be the team captain. The captain emails us at mitchell@bristolsportsplex.com and lists everyone who is on the team. A team needs at least 6 players and can have up to 10.

  • Don't have a team? No problem! If you sign up without a team, you are called a "free agent." We will put you on a team we build for you.

Cost

  • $65 per player

What is included

  • 7 games

  • A referee at every game

  • A soccer ball for the match

  • A points chart anyone can look at to see how teams are doing

  • Medals for the teams that finish in 1st and 2nd place

How the games work

Each game has two halves, with a short rest in between.

  • U6 to U8: 4 players per team on the field, and no goalkeeper. Each half is 12 minutes.

  • U10 to U12: 4 players per team on the field, plus a goalkeeper. Each half is 16 minutes.

Game dates

  • December 5 and December 12: games

  • December 18 to January 4: no games (holiday break)

  • January 9, 16, 23 and 30: games

  • February 6: final game day

Important deadline

  • November 30: Players must be signed up, and team captains must email their team lists. After this date, no players can be added or changed.
